A first look at Valentine's Day

After long hours of planning and mapping out the plot of The Mad Cobra: Valentine's Day, writing has started and with the prologue to our first ever story written up I would love to offer you, the readers, a sneak peak at this story through this prologue written up to set the tone and atmosphere of the book. The sun rose up from the mountains and hills in the distance, bringing a warm glow to the forests below of a mixture of orange, yellow and green leaves upon the trees surrounding the lake. Peter was jogging alongside the edge of the lake at the time and stood still for a moment to embrace the beauty of nature at Lovewell Pond with the birds chirping early in the morning, trees swaying gently in the morning breeze and that breath of fresh air that felt crisp to the lungs. He sat down on the ground to look out to the blue shimmering waters without a care in the world, was this going to be a good day? It felt like all his worries had left the moment he arrived at the lake, as if he had found his place in the world right here in Maine. He got up to continue his jog along the waterside but as he rose up he noticed something peculiar, a trail of black oil dripping from a tree branch above him onto the ground. Peter gazed at the sight trying to think logically about the cause of the oil when suddenly he was struck from behind by something long and solid like a baseball bat to the back of his head which caused him to fall and lose consciousness immediately. “This face will do nicely” said the unknown assailant before dragging Peter deeper into the treeline out of sight leaving behind a trail of that same oil.

With that being done, I will continue writing the remainder of the book but once it is complete and ready, you can find it published and ready to own for free on my Amazon Kindle page (once my Amazon Kindle page is live which happens after the first published book) which I will have linked on the home page of my website as well as announced on my blog here and on my Instagram account, I plan on making this as well as the rest of my books in this first series free to get the ball rolling with these stories to show people this world I am making before I dream of charging money for people to read on these adventures I write.
